Anwars (left) has filed a RM100 million suit against the NST. — Picture by Jack OoiKUALA LUMPUR, Nov 11 — Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is suing the News Straits Times for RM100 million in damages, for insinuating he is an American agent in an article written six years ago.
The English-language daily’s former deputy group editor Datin Rose Ismail today denied defaming Anwar in the article.
The Kuala Lumpur High Court which heard both their testimonies today fixed submissions for tomorrow.
